Equipment

You will need: - leftover candles - wicks long enough to cut them out according to your jars - glass jars of different sizes (yoghurt, jam jar, etc.) - an old pan - skewers - a news: 739781 cutter - needles - an old cloth

Steps

1. First step, quite tedious, you must cut your old candles using an actu: 739781 cutter. Protect the surface on which you cut with the cloth. Small pieces must be made so that the result is homogeneous.

2. Then fill your jars with the pieces of wax. Your jars must be filled to the brim because the wax will lose volume as it melts. Don't worry about the different colors, they will mix with the cast iron. 3. Half fill the pan with water and immerse the jars in it. Pay attention to the water level, it should not be able to enter the jars when boiling.

4. Bring the water to a boil, and stir the wax regularly using the skewers. Do not hesitate to add more if the level drops too much. 5. Once the wax is completely melted, take the jars out of the water being careful not to burn yourself. 6. Measure the wick height required by positioning the wick next to the jar. Slide a needle into the drill bit at the measured height. 7. Using the skewers, make a holder for the needle. Dip the wick, trying to center it as much as possible.

8. Let cool without moving them.
